Pink Champagne Brunch

We'd Champagne Brunch on the last Sunday of 2013 & it's with a pink theme.

Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial Champagne

Everything in Pink!

Generous serving of M&C Rosé Impérial throughout the Brunch.

Forgotten to take the spread for savory items ..

There're balloon sculpting, magic performance ...

& special appearance of Pink Panther!

A nice one ;)

Since hubby couldn't drive after the Champagne Brunch, we threw in a staycation as well.

A really nice way to end 2013 with my beloved ;)

Touristy Night

We started our (Hari Raya & National Day) long weekend with a dinner/drinks session with an ex-colleague.  He's from the Port and we used to work together during those commercial missions and exhibitions in the region.

It's a reunion after 6 years+ and the first time we met his Chilean girlfriend.

Dinner @ Lau Pat Sat.
I didn't expect the outdoor seats to be full (90% were tourists).

Beer @ One Fullerton's Overeasy

The our guide's name is Vincent :)

I'm always mesmerised by 'The Fullerton Heritage' view

Fullerton Bay Hotel

Though there's language barrier with Erica, it's a great meet-up.  She's such a warm person :)

All About Our Moms

Celebrated MIL's birthday on 21 Apr.  After exactly 2 weeks, we'd Mother's Day lunch.

Lunch @ Jing, One Fullerton

The food was pretty good

The following Sat, we'd afternoon tea with mom.  Thought she'd like Capella's tranquility.

My 'Marco Polo' tea with a tinge of lychee & rose.  It's good.

It's a different & nice celebration with mom ;)

And The Preps Begin ...

Bought these from my office's mini wine fair - M&C Champagne & a sweet wine :)

I grabbed the Champagne when I saw it's sold @ $55!  The cheapest we could find outside was $69.

I-craze

My dear honey got his iPhone 5 in exactly half an hour - from queuing, buying to paying because hubby enjoys the priority queue privilege :)

We're shopping at Ngee Ann City & saw that the Q was not too long when we walked past Singtel shop.  Was told the normal waiting time was 2 hours but were glad we got it in 30 mins.

In the evening after a series of grooming appointments & dinner. And the schedule was so tight that we'd no time to catch lunch.

Back Again

Last Sun morning hubby had to be at the Singapore Bay Run.  Our plan was to leave home early & have breakfast together at City Hall.. then hubby would go to the Bay Run & I'd stay on for another hour before walking to church.  However, the actual situation superseded our plan (which I thought was a near perfect one in terms of timing & location for the both of us).  We didn't anticipate crowds at such early hour.  When exiting CTE, we didn't feel quite right as we're already in a Q at 5.55am!  We originally wanted to park at Raffles City but it's full.  Went to Marina Square's instead & we made many rounds in the carpark before finally finding a lot.  It's a long walk from Marina Square.  By then, it's already 6.30am so we parted half way, he to the event venue and I, to McDonald's next to Bras Basah for breakfast before leaving for church at 8.

While I walked to church alone, some reminiscences returned... back to my college days when I went to church alone (parents rode their vespa & I took bus)...  Then during worship service, I was like back to those days when the whole family attended service together (except bro & family).  That time, there're 6 of us... Last Sun, only the 3 females in the family - mum, sis & me.  After so many years, I'm much much happier now... whereas for sis, I'm not sure.  And mum.. She's been such a strong old lady without daddy.  So much has changed.  Suddenly I missed hubby so much though it's only a short break from each other.

After church, I stayed around to wait for hubby.  But Raffles City was unbelievably crowded at 10 in the morning!  And all the cafés were full!  After walking around for half an hour, I managed to find a place to enjoy some tea & dessert in a quiet, relaxed ambience.

Swissotel's Lobby Court.
I had their tea set - a pot of TWG chamomile tea + a Chocolate truffle cake, from a good selection of tea & cakes/pastries.

After enjoying solitude for an hour, hubby's back! :D

Rachel's BD Party

We're supposed to eat some party bites but her lil friends gobbled up everything. So those who're late, like hubby & I & her own mom (half time from work), got no food :(

So I'm munching calbee & expired fishball crackers...

Weekend Comes Early!

We usually don't indulge in elaborated dinners on weekdays as we'll like to go for simple meal & then hit home early. But this evening, maybe because hubhy came to fetch me early, we decided to dine just next to my office.. we've been wanting to try their pork knuckle.

The Rotisserie.
The pork knuckle wasn't that nice.. the fish n chips was ok though, it wouldn't go too wrong anyway. Their Quarter Roasted Chicken is the popular one but hubby doesn't like breast meat so I never thought of recommending.

After-dinner drinks - Cherry beer & Apple beer at The Wine Connection @ Robertson Walk. Short but great chillout session with nice music :)

Looking forward to the siblings catchup tomorrow night! ;)

Le Bunny Bleu

Last Fri a colleague launched her Le Bunny Bleu début in Singapore at MAAD Pyjamas which was held at Red Dot Design Museum.

I bought a pair of leather boat shoes.  Very comfy ...
