Thë Bëst öf Böth Wörlds ÜÜ

So happy! I’ve always been harbouring 2 contrasting preferences for our wedding:
(1) outdoor, poolside (that’s why the very original intention for 50-pax poolside event on actual day)
(2) ballroom style

And now, we’ll be having both! Yeah……! Already have some ideas of how to do up the place for our wedding bash. It’s gonna exude a romantic & “greeny” ambience. Will play music throughout too (yes still jazz & oldies). We just pray that the weather will be co-operative, otherwise the contingent venue will be our home upstairs. Not too bad except worried about space. Then it’ll be a different feel… a very homely one, with air-con (guess many of them will be happy about that!). The key item used for either location – candles, sit in some pretty, simple glasses.

I’m still thinking about some other economical yet beautiful objects/materials for décor... Also decided on the caterer – Lavish Dine. They’re into stylish catering… Have not tried the food before but this caterer has received lotsa good feedbacks on many online wedding forums. Hopefully it’s really as impressive as it’s being complimented.

Hehee.. for this event we can reveal more coz it’s only for our colleagues & I dun mind my friends to know about it (so Celena, pls keep to yrself hor :P).

Meeting RC’s Wedding Planner again this evening… Will brief her our final requirements & reconfirmation on some details.

My Ideal Partner

I love doing things, literally everything, with my dearest fiancé! & all this while we are still having this telepathy between us.

We’re in particular perfect partners in bargaining. A very good eg. recently was when we negotiated for our new home, without discussing some of the points in advance, we would instantly know what our partner’s implying & perfectly complemented each other. We simply know when to back each other up with elaborations & when to keep silent.

Hehe…. We’re always so amazed by our “invincible” partnership!

Active Weekend

Were out for the 2 full days.

Sat - After a ktv brunch session with my honey, we spent the rest of the day & evening visiting many furniture stores & interior design houses @ IMM & West Coast to have some references & guidelines to renovate / furnish our home. It’s a very fruitful trip indeed!

Sun – Had lunch with the whole family celebrating my mum’s bd, after which walked over to OG. Last week during lunch, saw a few very pretty dresses for our flower-girls but had my eyes on a particular 1 with simple, empire design & it's not cheap at all… Had shown it to my fiancé too! Thus we arranged to bring my 2 nieces to try them after lunch.

I tell you… it’s a chaos but all of us were in great mood! Upon reaching & handing the dress to the older 1, she dashed straight off to the fitting room, leaving the other 1 running around the department store! After finding the right size for the younger 1, my sis gotta get hold of her & brought her to try on the dress as well. So the 2 girls & their mummies all in 1 small fitting room, helping them with the dresses. Ha! When they came out, b4 we could take a better look, off they went chasing each other. All of us hate shouting to the kids in public but yesterday we had no choice. They seldom got so out of control but we guessed they were just feeling excited & special being the flower girls. In total they tried on 3 different dresses. In the meantime, my sis, SIL, Vince & I took turns to go look for other designs, search for the staff for queries on sizes, keep an eye on the galz before they disappeared again… My parents were resting at 1 corner while my brother chatted with them & my BIL was just standing there like a security guard! Haha!

We just hope that on the actual day they won't be so active but not surprising if they will... they are just kids wat. But actually the sight of it could be quite interesting... imagine 2 donned in totally white princesses running wildly in-between the crowd... hmmm......

Eventually Vince & I bought the 1 (with 2 diff sizes) which’s my fav & turned out to be the fav for the kids too. They literally looked like a little pretty princess in the dress! The only problem is that the sizes are just fitting for them… meaning their mummies are given the very very important responsibility to watch their diet for the next 2 months. Hee!!
We carried on the fun by looking for matching stocking & shoes for them too.

After the shopping trip, we took a rest & had some drinks at the nearby café. It’s a real fun family & wedding preps time!

BBQ

Had our BBQ last weekend. It’s a gathering with a special mission - My mum took the opportunity to announce to all my aunts about our wedding.. Hee...

Side-track a lil from our wedding dos & donts44 In the end we didn’t get to swim but still got half wet.. tatz rite. Perhaps the sky thought we would be very hot having BBQ in day time & had decided to bestow us a very, very heavy downpour. Like any other BBQ pits there’s no shelter, so my BIL rushed to buy a big canvas... But before he made it back, the storm reached us first. You could imagine the sight then.. it’s so funny! The heavy rain caused us to disperse into 3 groups - 1) my SIL & I sacrificed ourselves to protect the newly-set fire.. our front so hot whereas the rear was soaked with rain water... haha! 2) the rest with the kids stuck at a miserable small shelter without umbrella. 3) my parents retreated to home.
Soon my BIL came to our rescue but it's then a tough task to put up the canvas in the rain. At 1st I was very fed up with the rain which caused so much trouble to our BBQ time... but later felt real touched to see that we were so united & every1 had a fortress to defend. In the midst all of us kept laughing & my cute SIL even shouted aloud that it’s so fun! Needless to talk about the 4 kids. Hee....

After the hard work from my whole family, the aunts & cousins who arrived later got to enjoy the cool weather & good food (seasoned with rain water??) by the pool.

Though the heavy rain caused some hiccups in our BBQ 'work', we took it as a kinda experience we don’t get (or want?) to have in normal days.

JIT, not likely

Been bz communicating with various bankers as well as our agent. Just got to know our place will most likely be ready only end Oct/early Nov taking into consideration the cleaning & painting works. By the time we get the keys, we still gotta do some renovation. Though not a big scale 1, it'll still take more than a week... then + furnishing...
So our latest plan of having the wedding bash @ the new place has to be retracted. Will stick to the poolside affair. It's alrite... also good... our guests don't have to attend 2 different events @ the same venue! Hee...

In the past, I would think it's extremely stressful to settle wedding & housing matters concurrently... Had seen exhausted-looking brides as a result of it. So told myself I wouldn't wanna be in this kinda situation. Prefer 1 after another... not so taxing financially too. However due to unexpected circumstances, now we are having a taste of doing everything at the same time. Another one of my gfs advised me not to have everything at 1 go but after hearing my reasons, she understood... so just wished me all the best. Ha!

Now, the most important point here - we don't feel there's too much stress at all. We're enjoying every single bit of it, experiencing the joy upon settling every big&small issue, feeling the excitement of how everything would turn out to be eventually... No doubt at times we gotta scratch our heads more for a series of decision or solution... we're a lil distracted about the excitement between wedding & housing.. hehe..

Just 3 word: it's God's grace!
It's All Good

On The Spur of The Moment ?

Had a tele-chat with one of the sisters. She 'marvelled' at the speed from which we started looking around to confirming a unit. Though she sounded supportive & happy for us, I could sense that she's rather worried about the convenience of its location & that we had done it out of impulse. They had searched theirs for 3 months & ours only a mere 1 week+.

Indeed, we're quite amazed by ourselves at the rate we're moving, towards everything... Right from deciding on renting the current place to getting hitched (ie. all the big+small issues that come with it), then purchasing our home... all less than half a year. It's rather scary actually!

Really happy to have a few of such great friends as I can feel their genuine concern & support... They were there for me when I needed cheers most & am sure they'll still by my side no matter what happens. Just wanna tell her not to worry about us.

Ok, our initial priorities were as follows: 1. a 3-bedroom unit within our budget, 2. near MRT station, 3. near amenities, 4. relatively new. Gotta admit that our very initial thought (b4 we started the search) was very naive... thought the current market price was $300k - $400k... Ha!

We then went online to look at some developments. We saw that the newer the property, the higher the price & the lower our hearts sank. On average, the price for a brand new 3-bedrm unit ranges from $550k upwards.. including those at further areas & not near train station. To be practical we raised the amount we're willing to pay to $450k+. We know that with the stringent budget, we have to compromise some of our requirements. It would not be useful if we were to hold on to all the things we want & not be realistic.

After looking at several places, I realised that I particularly fussed over the interior layout, the property age & facilities. Based on our experience in looking for this 1 on rental, we believe in the 1st instinct when entering an apartment. I didn't have that feel until we visited the 1 we're buying... We liked the surrounding & the interior the moment we stepped in. Perhaps it's still quite new (2.5 y.o) but we also like the size & shape of the living room & all the other areas incl bedrms, kitchen & backyard. After communicating with my beloved fiance, we discovered we have the same preferences. We are both willing to give up the distance to/from the station for a place like that. Also, besides having a coffee shop directly opp, other basic amenities are less than 10 mins away, so it's not that far though not as near as our present place. But there's a bus-stop just in front of the side gate which is 3 stops away from the station. Anyway, if everything goes on well, we should also be getting a car in 1 - 2 years' time.

We negotiated on the price... from the initial $520k+ to less than $500k for this pool-view, 3-bedrm unit. So we think with our limitations, that's a very good deal. So far Centrepoint has been nice & also accepted our request of giving a new coat of paint to the whole unit.
Oh yes, another big draw is the $25k interior design package... meaning we use their appointed interior designer to renovate/furnish our home with no cost as long as it's within $25k. Therefore in a way, we're only paying around $460k for this unit! Hehe...

This one of the 3 themes ...

Sometimes we may find that we're in a dilemma in making decisions. We see something we like but don't wanna commit 1st coz we may see other better units. What if we don't? This 1 will not wait for us as if we see it good, some other viewers tend to like it too. So we feel that as long as we really like it & it's within our budget (hey, not that ez to c somewhere I like with this amount of $$ leh..), guess we have to be a lil bold. Not saying we'll make the best decision but again, our same rule applies: we'll not regret after making the step as we know we've chosen the best that we can have for ourselves at this point of time. Well, no1 can guarantee the trend of property prices, it's just like share prices.. even if it drops further 1 or 2 months later, what if I can't find elsewhere that we like? And by then this 1 already been taken up? But looking at the past transactions, we think the price we're getting is already the lowest among all in the same development.

MTP Session

We are so caught up with activities in last 2 weeks – trial makeup & gowns fitting / wedding shoots / home searching / looking for banks & thereafter loan application / BBQ… & today, Meet The Parents time. Was rather nervous & stressful initially… the atmosphere was a lil awkward as no1 talked much. Vince, his eldest sis & I talked the most… Towards the end of the lunch, they got into discussion about what to be given & returned. Only when we were about to leave, they got warmed up & the 4 of them started chatting. It was good… at least better late then never.. hehe..

After that, we went to collect the OTP which we’re gonna bring to the banker’s lawyer after we’ve decided which bank to get our loan. Also took the chance to walk around the development again, but this time round having a totally different mind (yes! This will be our matrimonial home & more).

A Reversed Mood, that soon ... :>

Yeah yeah yeah!!! We are so happy now! Was just venting my frustrations last afternoon & a call on my mobile before I got off work brought us real good news, gave our mood a complete twist… hee! It’s the 4 words that we’ve wanted to hear so much: "your loan is approved."
Wow! Till now we still can’t believe it & keep staring at the floorplan with excitement!

To be safe, we’ve sent our application to 3 banks – 1st (Maybank) had already made it clear to us that they wouldn’t come back to us in less than 2 weeks as they offer very low interest rate and thus receive overwhelming application. 2nd (DBS) and 3rd (financial institution) ones offer very competitive rates & incentives as well.

Actually before receiving this great news, also had the amended report from CB. This Malay lady from CB is really an angel... she’s been so kind & helped me to follow up closely with AMEX and once received an email from them, she immediately called me & faxed the report to me after updating it. Now DBS is processing our application already, all thanks to Sylvia who pushed ours on the top of the applicant list.

Conclusion: yesterday’s such a fruitful day! All our pending replies were out in a day… to be exact, in less than 3 hours... including receiving our agent’s confirmation that the property developer, Centrepoint, has accepted our offer & the Option To Purchase is out already!

This would mean we are going to make the following our home in 4 months’ time!

Uptight!

Been a grouchy bride-2B these 2 days...

Having several heated conversations with one of the banks - AMEX. Previously had a card with them but cancelled more than 2 years ago. Like any other credit card cancellation, I thought the case was totally closed... But Nope! I'm wrong... Dunno anything until we applied for our housing loan with one of the main local banks & this lady, Sylvia, came back to me saying our loan could not be processed until I've settled the issues with AMEX. ?!?!?!?!!!!? What the ??? Told Sylvia I've nothing with AMEX as I terminated the membership 2 years ago. She's not convinced at all as the info from Credit Bureau clearly showed that I've not made payment for 5 months! Called & verified with AMEX & according to them - the account was indeed officially closed a looooong time ago. But why not showed in the CB report? AMEX' explanation: Perhaps at the point you cancelled your card there's a minimal amount of interest charged which you're not aware of & so it appeared as an outstanding sum. Here's the best part: "OH, MAYBE WE HAVE FORGOTTEN TO UPDATE THE INFORMATION TO THE CREDIT BUREAU"...! Asked them to fax me the closure confirmation letter, they said needed 1 day for the machine to churn out the letter, which is today. Told them to amend the CB info, they said need minimum 3 days.

Sylvia asked me to demand for an apology letter from them explaining what's the problem. Without hearing me out completely, they rejected my request flatly by saying they do not prepare such letters. When I got angry, they got even angrier than me! Goodness!!

Went down personally to CB during lunch today & discovered what AMEX said was BULLSHIT! They don't need 3 days at all if they were to send an email to CB immed as CB will make the amendments instantly upon receiving the update. Was fuming to the top when back to office & tried calling various parties @ AMEX but either they were not around or no1 wanted to take immediate action! So my conclusion - NOBODY IS WORKING @ AMEX!!! One of the staff even asked me an interesting question: "So what do you want me to do now??!!" Hey excuse me... I'm the victim, AMEX's the trouble maker, not me! That's not all, the fax they promised to send me only consisted of 3 sentences but without the most significant part - when did the termination took place. Wow! Took 1 full day to prepare a piece of rubbish letter! Apparently that girl was not listening!

Couldn't tolerate it... and most importantly, every1 is waiting for this amendment from stupid AMEX including Sylvia, the property developer, the property agent (as they are trying their best to block their colleagues to bring viewers to the same unit, which is a good 1) ....... called AMEX 1 last time, was again being transferred around... STILL, NO1'S WORKING @ AMEX!!! Eventually, this poor lady who's the Customer Svc Mgr took my call & my stern complaint... told her that she better get the info @ CB changed immediately as I'm in the midst of preparing a complaint letter to their head, cc. Assn of Banks of Spore, cc. Monetary Authority of Spore, cc. Credit Bureau... also warned them am in public relations & have a good contact network of journalists, so I'm most prepared to make this known to every1 including my friends to stay away from AMEX. I am dead serious.

So my friends, this a lesson learned. Never be too sure about what info provided by the banks which you've dealings with will be accurate. When you know you're going to apply for a loan esp a big 1, it's better to get a copy of the CB report of yourselves (contact me directly if you wanna know how to go about doing it) to be sure the info there is correct. Imagine I don't know anything & the fault is not mine at all but gana rejected for loan application & ended up no home to stay coz all banks refer to the same info. Thank God Sylvia was nice enough to tell me what exactly the problem is as, according to CB, many banks just told their applicants that their credibility is not sound without stating any reason & direct rejection. Some banks will tell you it's quite a normal mistake made but they don't realise that it'll affect us infinitely just because of their omission (forgot to update!). It greatly affects my reputation & credibility and has caused me total embarrassment! GRRRR!

Snappy ideas

My colleague has been asking where we intend to have our outdoor shooting. Actually we don’t have a particular location in mind except I wish to have it at some out-of the-norm places. But where?

Believe almost everywhere that looks special or scenic has already been scouted by photographers. Those used to be extra-ordinary venues, like old, pre-war buildings/ beaches/ forest…, now appear in almost every wedding foto album (guess ours will be quite the same too). But we believe it’s also the process of going through it on that day makes it interesting & memorable.

Nevertheless, I personally have some special preferences which are not easily understood… even my friends had no idea what I meant exactly (I don’t know how to describe!) when I told them & their faces turned into a big Question Mark! Hmmm… I want it to be at a posh place…erm... perhaps with high ceiling, with sleek flooring, with minimal furniture… so the emphasis is only on the both of us. Also would like to have some shots at a pub (totally contrast preference from the 1st huh). Well, am not the expert so my ideas may not be viable… perhaps the background I’ve in mind can be very limited for foto shoots?

Anyway, will suggest to the photographer to at least make a stopover at my sis’ restaurant before setting off… it’s only 2 blocks away from the bridal studio. I want to have some pix in front of the bar counter at least…! And maybe the courtyard too?

Bon Weekend

The trial makeup & gown-fitting session was fun. Initially was rather ambiguous about the makeup artist's skills but she seemed experienced & got it done in 20 mins (though it’s a simpler version of the actual 1). Brought the video-cam & captured some interesting moments: me b4 & after makeup, in different gowns & my honey while trying out his suits. Everything was settled sooner than we expected… So had ample time to travel to Ngee Ann City for the appointment with my hairstylist. Have been with Justina for more than 7 year though in the midst I’ve ever gone ‘astray’ but always ended up seeking her salvage with messed up hair.. hehe... Over the years we’ve become great pals who can talk about anything & this pretty + stylish lady is now responsible for creating my hair colour for shoots & the actual Wedding day!

Sunday afternoon was spent at sis’ place celebrating my niece’s 5th birthday. The most enjoyable part was blowing bubbles with the kids (yep! I had 1 bottle all by myself!). A few of us blew bubbles & the rest went hysterical chasing the massive floating transparent balls… it’s only until I felt a lil dizzy & breathless that I surrendered & passed it to Vince. My sis was more advanced, bought an electric bubble maker... Ha! Always enjoy the time with my siblings

It's Friday !!!

Always love Fridays! Hee... who doesn't?

Yeah yeah.. will be meeting my makeup artist tomorrow & having first round of trying out my gowns. Gonna bring some references I tore off from mags for my hand bouquet & hairstyles. Must go through the whole stack of bridal mags we bought in the last 2 months... remember seeing some designs I like...

Quando Quando Quando ?

We are aspired to do something to our body for the big day…… to keep fit by having a regime of weekly swimming session & a bonus awarded to my fiancé - a workout session at the gym. Hehe...!

Am not a believer in gym… so is Vince but he thought since it’s just at the clubhouse downstairs, he might as well make use of it once in a while. However my dear dear honey is well… a lil too lax to even make a trip down 13 levels...Rolling Eyes
As for swimming, we are having some difficulties too. Because of the facial treatment, I've been kept away from water & hence Vince not motivated to go solo. But the good news is: yesterday my doc gave me the green light to dip in the day! So we’ll be trying out our brand new Adidas goggles very soon! Hurray!!

On the other hand, perhaps due to our busy schedule lately (eg. we’re so busy on ND that we didn’t have the time to take lunch!) & the deliberate effort in controlling his diet, our Mr Soh looks much fitter now.. wee~wit! Hopefully he’s doing it in a right way as I definitely don’t want his health to be affected… no doubt I trust he’ll do what he deems fit.

As for Mrs Soh-2B… everything's under rather well control except she’s waiting anxiously for herself to recover so that she can hang out at the pool again with her beloved fiancé!

Meet The Florist

Oh yes, about meeting the florist on Mon, it’s better than we expected & we’re so far very happy with their service. Didn’t really expect ourselves to settle all the items on the spot. The florist being professional & most importantly, very creative. He's done for many big bosses b4 @ RC.. The most recent 1 - this couple is paying more than $20,000 on flowers & decor alone for their wedding dinner which will be held 1 month before ours... imagine that?!

Think he’s relieved to know our preference in simple yet special arrangement. The colour theme we want is a lil different from the usual wedding colours. We’re sure his works will turn out impressive. Actually feel very excited about it!

1 Walking Day

Yesterday we were so busy… walking! We celebrated our country’s birthday by traveling to almost half of the island.. hehe.. It was fun visiting different houses & also had a short but great time catching up with my jie-mei.

In order to gage the distance between the units we visited & the nearest MRT stations & also to check out the facilities around, we chose to walk instead of taking any transport with 4 wheels. It’s a hot & sunny day but that didn’t dampen our mood till perhaps after the last stop, I was quite drained out as was (eh, still am) having a flu… thatz right, the bugs haven’t left meeee! Good thing my fiancé was still in good form. What made it worse was that there was a big ND celebration nearby, so the whole place was jammed up! So aborted the idea of having dinner there & dragged my tired feet but excited heart home …

A Whole Lot of Excitement Ahead !

Yep! Like my honey’s said it, we’re beginning to look for our dream home! Indeed, we’re always giving ourselves pleasant surprises!

After pressing the calculator’s buttons for umpteen times, we’re quite ready to buy a place of our own! And we should also thank our government for the new housing policies.. hee…

In fact, the house-hunting process is expedited as we actually wanted to start looking around once we are married. But now being a bigger investment than we originally planned, think it’ll take us a lil longer to find 1 that we like & at the same time meets our budget/requirements. It feels so much different from the previous search (for our current unit) which is considered our place for only 1 year but already took us a lot of comparing & consideration (of various factors including location/interior/facilities), so needless to talk about the oncoming 1.

Simply out of curiosity yesterday we visited a new project’s showflat behind where we stay now. It’s soo nice… we love the simple & contemp design in dark wood with lotsa white. But too bad… Though it's within our budget, it doesn’t match some of our main requirements, 1 of it being the TOP date’s scheduled only end of next yr.

Tomorrow’s PH & will be spending our National Day house-viewing! Gonna start off with visiting my xiao-mei’s in the morning as coincidentally we’re having a viewing appointment in late morning at another block in the same project. She wanna kpo & join us. Hmmm… if the place happens to meet our expectations, we’ll become neighbours! Yeah… just the thought of it makes me so excited already… Somemore I've always liked this place. Hehee...

Will be visiting a showflat in the afternoon. Another of my good frd will likely be joining us though they just bought a resale last year & not ready to move again in near future. Appointments with 2 other agents pending in the afternoon.

That's not enough.. Gonna get busy with the other wedding function we are organizing for all of our colleagues. This will be a totally different 1 – outdoor & poolside. And not to forget our usual ongoing preps! Oh yes, the music selection for our WMA is more or less done!

Woo-ooh! There're so much to be settled within the months & we can't be any happier!

SO EXCITING!

It's my 1st time writing on our wedding blog though I must admit that everything that I wanna say have been said by my Baobei!
We are going thru such an exciting phase of our life! Preparing for our wedding, going for our studio in 2 wks time, started looking for caterer last night & we just started looking for our dream home today!
We are so excited in preparing for this new start of our life together. In fact, we are often surprised at the rate we could make a decision together & move on with our plans! Like we just decided that we wanna hold a seperate wedding bash for our colleagues & boom! we were looking for & have shortlisted 2 caterers last nite! We've even decided the date, time & venue! And after a heart to heart talk today (which we often do!) We've more or less decided how our dream home'll be like in the very near future!
It's so important to have some1 so close in all aspect! We complement each other in every single way. I'm so very sure that in the years & years to come, we would go through every big & small things of life together and hold hands till our crowns turn grey! - Honey

B - A - N - N - E - D

Had some back problem relapses over the weekend…
Hai… Lately so much health problems come rushing in! Is it good or no good that they visit me 1 after another? Well, put it this way, I would rather they appear now, get fixed then leave us alone, especially just b4 & during our BIG day. So hear it? You bugs/viruses/pains/allergies/etc are not welcome at all to be our guests at our wedding!

Now my fiancé has banned me from doing:
- too much washing (he’s afraid detergent will wear my skin off)
- heavy duty tasks* (actually he’s been refraining me from carrying heavy stuff but now it’s a command)
* seems like he has classified almost every task under this category

But it’s not good & practical to leave nearly everything to him. I certainly don’t want him to overwork too in the long run, especially he’s always so busy @ work. And we used to enjoy doing the chores together. Okok, nobody would enjoy actually but when we are doing together we find joy in it & have fun.

So I’ve decided to exert my authority as (newly enthroned) Mrs Soh to claim partial housework under my control after wedding. Bravo

Yes, still Njyoying :)

Corresponded with the florist this morning. Wanted to make a trip to their on Sat but he said they’re doing a big event at RC on that day so can only meet next wk, any day. We thought there’s gonna be a big wedding bash & excitedly told him that it’d be great to take a look at the actual set-ups. To our disappointment… NO. It’s a corporate event - David Gan’s Hair Fashion Show. Being told that funky flowers will be used, of no relevance to wedding. Eh… Funky??
It’s ok! We’ll see him on Mon anyway…

Every now & then, we’ll come up with some ideas. Just few days ago, Vince suggested it’d be nice to have a white carpet instead. It sounds really great to me but too bad, RC doesn’t have. The wedding consultant said they did have it many years ago but was very difficult to maintain its colour. So eventually it became… Yellow.
Nevermind… We’ll do something to the red carpet then & I'm sure it'll look as niceWinky 2

When come to think about it, there’re more & more nitty-grittys to be settled & we’re enjoying every bit of it! Yesterday, my dear fiancé is up with another very constructive idea again… with some modifications, guess it’ll be something special yet economical. Hee!

Let us embrace -----> another series of brain-juice consuming moments!

We are starting to work on the colour theme. Just received a CD-rom from one of the 2 florists which are exclusively appointed by RC.. rather disappointed with their floral arrangements.
Just talked to the other 1 & visited their website… their works look good though not many pix in their online portfolio. Will await more updated pix by email… most likely we’ll use them instead of the 1st 1.

Have more or less decided on the colours… wait till we visit the shop personally (most prob this sat) to take a look at the exact colours of the sash as sometimes they just look so different in the pix. Can look at all their past projects too…

Hmmm… not sure whether we’ll be ready to confirm the types of flowers, candles & aisle floral stands at first visit.
Well.......

we're into this direction (but not the golden sash):

and not this:

Joy-Joy

Yeepeee! I’m gonna have a bridal shower with my dearest sisters either late Sept or early Oct when our “da jie” returns from Shanghai for a short vacation! Not forgetting it’ll also be a baby shower for our “xiao mei”.. it’s literally [double joy]! Hehe…

Oh good... will take the chance to ask our sister no.3 to practise her video recording skill. She's still our 1st choice in the list!

Really hope that our little friend can be more co-operative… wait till his mummy attend her sister’s wedding then come out. Gonna ask her to issue a visa to her baby with exit permit date exactly 1 week after our big day (as her brother’s wedding only 6 days after mine). It’s good right… both mummy & baby can feast on 2 occasions in a week.

A Day's Trip

Had a good 180mins of pampering my limbs last Sat… I signed up for a package of 7 hand+feet spa treatments as it’s cheaper than what I used to pay... which means now it's slightly less than half of what we usually pay in Singapore. Did exfoliation, mask, paraffin wax, massage, mani & pedi while my honey enjoyed a cartoon movie & some musicals next to me. So that would mean I'll really make a monthly trip there even after the wedding, at least for another 3 times.

The day seemed to be a lil short & we had to skip the jap restaurant (had Genki sushi for lunch tho). Will def go there the next time round!

Actually nothing to get from JB for our wedding but still went ahead browsing & bought myself a pair of Levi’s. Found exactly the same in Singapore but I only paid 65% of the price tagged here. Hee! Love the cut as it flatters my hips & thighs (those parts of my body that’re most difficult to deal with!). Have worn jeans of many different labels but still find my super super low 593 best fits my legs. Somemore so versatile… at times when I feel it’s being over-worn, would just fold up & it’ll become a nice pair of Capri. Been trying to find a similar cutting for a long time &… congratulations to me!!

Suit up my Honey

My fiancé said it’s a fact that the bride is the limelight in a wedding… up to 90% or more of the items for & on this special day belongs to the bride. The groom’s share is so insignificant!

For instance, the designer & her assistants were busy attending to me on trying out a whole series of gowns (for shootings) the whole evening… like some 3 hrs (actually mine was not considered long when compared to many other brides-2b who can take more than half a day)... but when it came to my honey's turn, it's only a mere 10 mins, or less?! My honey was obviously being neglected & I felt unjust for him too! Hmm... what to do? that’s why every1 calls it BRIDAL shop.. there’s no 'groomal' shop? Or groom’s shop? Hehee…

Ok seriously I just wanna tell my honey: "the groom’s existence is as important as the bride for which lack of it, there’ll be no bride at all. So in this case if without you, I'll not be a bride, let alone putting on a wedding gown. You may not feel too much about the neglect.. just passing a casual comment, but I'll address this issue... Afterall, my honey's a man with a great sense of fashion!"

We can only work on his shirts & ties as suits are usually & still look the best in basic colours - black, grey, white. Will play around with designs & colours of the shirts according to the suits he's gonna wear (conventional/tuxedo/china collar). We've just added 4 shirts with very nice colours & designs to his already interesting & fashionable collection!

Am I making a fuss? No... it's just that while I feel & am dressed like a princess, I want my beloved to be pampered (by me
Puckering Smile) with choices & feel great in his groom's suit as well.
