HCMC

Hubby dearest will be joining me in Vietnam next month. It's gonna be a short getaway... only 3D3N, in Ho Chi Minh City. As it's not in our list of desired destination, it seems attractive enough to be able to save on my airfare & 1 night's accomodation. Too bad my last stop's not Hanoi.. otherwise we can make a day trip to Halong Bay.

Regardless, we're still looking forward to the short vacation. Given the same expanse of shopaholicism in us, we could make a dull place interesting... as long as we're together.

Hence, some research works will be up again.
And yes, also planning for our 1st anniversary celebration this weekend.

Passed

Hey hey... I passed my final theory last Fri... Well the ultimate's yet to come but at least I can book my TP test after this Thurs when I should finish my 30th lesson. Am I nervous? Believe I definitely will, starting from next Jan because as of yesterday, the earliest test date will be on 10 Feb 2007. Guess by this thurs it'll run to the 3rd week of Feb if not end of the month, taking into account CNY & our holiday.

So fast huh... from the 1st day I got on the driver seat till now, it's only 2 months. I really have no idea how I managed to complete the 29 lessons (Thurs' will be a review) as I still feel I'm so unfamiliar with driving... is it normal?

It's my 2nd attempt on FTT. 1st was taken more than 2 years ago. I thought it's as ez as the basic (which I took many many years back & passed without studying much) so didn't really spend time on the book. BIG MISTAKE. To begin with I didn't even fully understand what's a clutch. This time round, still didn't touch the book but went for 2 practices & 1 compulsory trial test before the actual 1. Having some hands-on knowledge did help too. Hubby seemed happier than me as he's been very concerned & kept urging me to go for more practices. Can lighten his load now that he only needs to concentrate in nagging me to attend my practical lessons. Honey, yes? This morning he'd just failed to persuade me to go for a lesson today or tomorrow evening instead of thurs so I can book my test date 3 days earlier. What to do... his wife's so lazy. But gotta thank him for encouraging & pushing me on... without him, I'm afraid I'll still be in my lesson 10+ or so? Or may have even been a drop-out.

Not a bad weekend

Hubby & I had arranged to meet PY & her beau for drinks last Fri.

Then Fri morning, a friend from PSA called & invited me for dinner with her friend from a certain consul who needed to check some info from me. Tried to postpone it as it's a lil too rushing & didn't wish to spoil our Fri night with a work dinner. But finally acceded to her persistent "pleading", stating clearly that we'd have to run before 8pm. Supposed to meet them @ 6.45pm @ Keppel Club but we're being held up by the bad congestion on the road & only arrived past 7. Had a short but good dinner at The Boardwalk Café. Nice view - Sentosa's just across the sea & there's this mangrove-lookalike view at the entrance of the café. Enjoyed the tranquilizing ambience with sounds of wave gently hitting the shore. And the gentleman turned out to be a funny young guy who's about our age. Think we made quite a scene with our thundering laughter almost throughout the dinner. Also not forgetting to thank my sociable hubby who joined in the fun.

When we left Keppel Club, we're half an hour behind time, again. Made a few rounds before we finally found a lot. Reached Ink Club Bar a few mins before 9pm. 1st time meeting PY’s boyfriend & we’re 1-hr late!
We'd a beer each & lotsa catching up with PY. So happy for her! Didn't stay late... all of us (her bf's sis, their cousin & wife) left slightly before 11pm. Another meet-up should be on the way.. most likely will do dinner.
Hubby then brought me to the famous Boon Tong Kee chicken rice @ River Valley as his wifey was feeling hungry.

Btw... we'll definitely be back to
Keppel Club for more.

Woke up late on Sat since I’d no driving lesson. Had a not so dissatisfying lunch @ a HK cafe @ Kovan.. whereas hubby loved it... think I'd ordered the wrong thing. Visited daddy (instead on Sun usually), then back home... & out again @ 5pm+. Went all the way to Orchard to get my undereye concealor, only to realise on Tues that I've got a totally wrong product!! It all started last Fri... read about some good comments about YSL's Touche Eclat, so went to Seiyu during lunch to get it. But who knows for watever reason I went straight to Estee Lauder's counter instead. And coincidentally I found a similar golden pen-like product - Ideal Light Brush-on Illuminator. Wanted to buy it but out of stock. So I took a train to Robinson's @ Cityhall & again, no stock. The irony was after I returned to office, I still went online again to check it out (YSL's) but didn't realised I was all along browsing a different 1! And how determined I was in getting it... thought it must be a real hot-seller to be out of stock @ 2 big department stores. Happily bought 1 on Sat @ Centrepoint. The result was only so-so. Then on Tues at home, out of the blue I somehow recalled............... was it YSL that I previously saw online?! Quickly logged on to check. Indeed.

Oh my.... I can't believe I'm that blur!!! Somemore hubby had to drive all the way to town & paid for the expensive but WRONG product. I’d just mustered enough courage to tell him just now & he’s so cool about it…& told me I could still get YSL’s if I wish to. Yeah!! I’ll see how lor…
But at least Sat’s trip wasn’t wasted as we did find some good buys that evening.

Silly me...

Sunday morning, as usual sent mum to church. Then went to Vince's eldest aunt's... remember the cousin who's getting married on our 1st anniversary? Yep, last Sun he brought dowry to the bride-2b's family, distributed cakes & invites. And yep, we'd to show face... at least for a while. It turned out to be alright... with free food including my fav dessert. Also chatted with hubby's cousin. She's in advertising & happened to know Mel too. It's a small world huh. Anyway, Mel's promoted to COO so not surprising if she were to know her in the advert circle.

Stayed there for more than an hr before fetching mum & then rushed home. Had booked a 3-hr ktv session with brother & family downstairs. Thereafter they had a swim.. hubby & I were simply too lazy... tsktsk......

Dinner time we went to sis' restaurants. Her French restaurant was closed… the other bistro just a few steps away (in Serene Centre) was opened though. The original plan was to set a table there for 9 of us but we didn’t wanna affect her business as there’re quite a few walk-ins. So we’d a “private 3-course dinner” @ her restaurant & every1 enjoyed it. Well I’m not praising her just because she’s my sis… but she can really cook! Hmm....

Last fri's

We finally went to Buckaroo last fri. Arrived early before 7pm. Looked quite run down.... both of us couldn't remember it looked like this when we last drove past.

Sat outdoor (sheltered 1)... btw the 'indoor' & outdoor are only separated by a short flight of stairs I think. Did not have much choice as many tables were reserved. Anywayz... ordered a jug, a main course & 2 side dishes to share. The food's great! But glad we didn't order more. The ribs a lil dry but set off by the good taste. Couldn't finish everything so packed the leftovers. And that reminds me the buffalo wings & deep fried button mushroom are still in the fridge.

By the time we left just before 9, the whole place was full.

Yamano Doronko

Remember the beauty products store @ Sun Plaza which I paid my 1st visit 2 months ago? We went there again last Sat & it’s already my 4th visit. Goodness…! 4 trips & cost us close to 1k!

The 1st time there, I was being introduced to a Jap-brand skin care products with its content mainly clay/volcano mud/sea mud – Yamano (Doronko). But I was full of doubts… didn’t want to aggravate my facial condition…

Long ago sis & I have already reckoned that our oily face is part of the hereditary package we received from our mum. I started to deal with zits problem during my pre-u days. But it’d never occurred to me that I should start using skin care products. Anyway I wouldn’t have the money to get any even if I’d thought about it. All I had was oxy-5 (is that familiar to you too, ha!) bought by mum to battle the irritating pimples.

Still vividly remember this particular incident: On the very day after my last exam paper, I was to go for a 1st date with my crush which I’d been so looking forward to. But on the actual day I was too troubled to be excited because I’ve got 1 big, red acne on my nose!!! Not on the left nor right, but right in the centre! However much oxy-5 used simply couldn't deflate it. That’s the very 1st joke Acne&Family played on me. I was so sad & many of my classmates (girls) gave all sorts of suggestion. Of course canceling the date was the last on my mind as I’d been waiting for this day for more than a year! So I took the next best solution offered by 1 of the classmates - to conceal it. That’s the 1st time I heard about concealer & used 1. Okie… laugh all you want... Cosmetics was like a foreign object to me then which I’d ZERO knowledge & interest.

So I rushed to get a Maybelline concealer (yes I still remember it’s Maybelline & it’s the cheapest) on my way home from school. Oooh… how impressed I was to see what miracles a concealer could do. I dabbed as much of the liquid on as my nose could take & no trace of redness anymore! No doubt the bump’s still there… I was contented enough. So much so that I also applied it on my whole face since the effect looked great… I’d accidentally taken it as a foundation. Haha.

And how did my 1st date go? Shall tell ya more about it separately before I’m totally out of the topic.

So I’ve problematic skin all along. My 1st facial treatment was @ Lucky Plaza before I turned 21 with the money I earned from private tutoring. Besides a few other beauty salons & skin doctors which proved to be ineffective, also used to go to Adonis & Haach. But the last two were too ex (though good) for me to sustain longer than a year, having to buy their long range of costly products. Then a girl friend recommended me to this famous aesthetic doctor @ Forum Galleria. Been consulting him for a few years & my condition did improve a lot including the scars. I was finally problem-free for a few years… surprisingly those late nights during The Bar time didn’t inflict a recurrence. And thank God I was free from it too when we wedded although did experience some breakouts before the wedding but was under control after treatments.

Then somewhere in the mid of this year the zitty problem made a comeback. Started with my jawline again, then hairline, then some parts of the face & they’d a high resistant level to all sorts of cream & antibiotics. Those prescribed by the aesthetic doctor weren’t effective this time. It’s so frustrating. Many said it’s due to stress. Well, did make some sense considering the amount of stress I’d had for my May mission. But for whatever reason it might be, I just wanted them out of my sight. Those who never have any of such problem with their skin won't understand...

Come back to this Jap skin care products. Eventually I was being given 2 types of cleanser & mask samples to try out. After 4-5 days, I really saw improvement… Surely it gave me more confidence in the products & a week later I went to get 1 of the cleansers. The following month, I went back for the mask. Then last Sat, I bought the cleanser which’s supposedly a mask – black clay mask, an eye cream & toner. So now, I’m almost a full-range Yamano convert:
- day cleanser
- calamine toner
- eye cream
- black clay mask (also serves as a cleanser in the morning)
- fango pack mask

By the way, the $50+ shampoo I bought (previously mentioned) is also Yamano’s. But honestly I don’t find the clay shampoo any better than others.

Also using the day & night cream of a different brand, bought from the same store. So far quite happy with the results.

Am I adventurous… I’ve completely switched over to some brands I’ve not heard before. But since it’s working well on me, I don’t really care… just gotta monitor the condition closely. Do hope I can at least finish the 1st bottle/pack should anything negative surfaces. Am even trying out their foundation too & I just read the powder is good too. Hmmmm....

Tried to search for some info online but only very limited info available & the best part is, all in Japanese! In the midst, came across this
blog by chance… quite interesting.

our car

de noir & such

Didn’t think in advance of what to wear for last evening’s dinner. Last minute decided on this black top with black pants.

If I’ve a better choice, I wouldn’t choose this as I’m quite done in wearing black to functions & dinners, in the interim. However most of my dresses are in black (so you know why I’m tired of it) & frankly, black is still the safest color.

Now make a guess - when did I buy this top? 44444 About 3 years ago, if it wasn’t more than that. And last evening was my 1st time wearing it. Wow, I’ve broken my own record in keeping a piece unworn for so so long!

The fact is…. I’ve totally forgotten this piece till I ransacked my wardrobe yesterday.

Last evening, hubby reminded it marked the 1st Wedding Dinner we attend together in these 3years+. And interestingly it doesn't stop just here as we'll be having 1 wedding dinner to attend every month for the rest of this year (ie. 3 in a row including yesterday's).

And I’m afraid history will most likely repeat itself (both ransacking & wearing black)… unless I go shop for new dinner clothes? Hee..

Sunday

On Sun morning, I did log off soon after the last post & went to the bed. But I didn't sleep... instead watched some vcds till 5am! Then I felt myself half-asleep half-awake till about 9am. It's bad.......

Snoozed for another half an hour before I got up. Had a lazy morning, just me & Tubby. Continued with my vcds & had instant noodles for lunch & dessert which we bought the previous night. Then hubby called around 3pm. He said he's on his way back to freshen up & to change... his 2 friends would come for a dip too. I almost immediately rushed to take a shower after the call... I'd say I was rather unsightly with my super oily hair & face. I wouldn't even want to go downstairs looking like this, needless to say receiving guests.

Hubby returned & left with his friends again within an hour. Then it's my turn to get prepared as hubby would be back to fetch me @6.30pm. Reached the restaurant before 7pm. All in all, it's a good 1 with lotsa silly jokes & tv entertainment... The friends at the same table were so funny. By the way, Thomas behaved so differently that made me wanna laugh whenever I talked with him.

Still awake ........

This is such a different weekend for me. It's the 1st time, since Vince & I got together, that I'm so awake & logging on on a Sat night... no, Sun morning. Reason being - I'm all alone now! Apart from those times when I gotta spend weekends overseas for work, this the 1st time hubby's not at home on a Sat night.

We're out the whole day & back 9pm..ish. Thereafter, hubby's busy settling Tubby, showered, got his clothes ready & off he went to his bro's (his sec sch buddy, Thomas). It's Thomas' Big Day tomorrow & the gang from sec sch days were staying over to have a kinda bachelor's night. Hubby actually wanted to reach his place only early next morning so that we could still spend some time together tonight, I know. So I encouraged him to go ahead as this is a very special occasion & they rarely get together like this (in fact it's the 1st time after nearly 10 yrs?). I want him to have some wonderful time catching up with his buddies. He then suggested tucking me in 1st before leaving home but told him it's alright. I'm far from feeling sleepy.

So weird... not used to the stillness on a weekend night. Am in the study room while the tv in the living room's still on with music from the MTV channel.

Hey Kelly Loke.... where's the independence that you used to have?? You've been too pampered by your hubby already!

I'd better get to bed soon.

Overwhelmed.

Bro & family came back on Sun afternoon. They'd a 2-hr swim & enjoyed it. Hubby & I relaxed by the pool too with tidbits & our fav peach soda. Hubby joked that they're having such a healthy activity while ours was just the opposite - junk food party! And we succeeded in luring them to join in... so evil of us huh!

Dinner time, we headed to Sin Ming for some sliced fish bee hoon soup as I suddenly craved for it. Back immediately after dinner & had a 2nd mooncake session [wasn't it over already??]. SIL had earlier on bought mum another box so we'd better eat it together before we overdose ourselves. Ok it's all my fault. The practice for every year is SIL & I each buy a box... usually ours are teochew yam mooncakes (as my honey & me like, hehe) & SIL's are the traditional ones. But this year we broke the unsaid rule & bought a box of FIVE traditional mooncakes from Crystal Jade. Reason being I was salivating at the 5-yolk mooncake! Then we’d some @ Constance’s place & I loved it – double-yolk with chunks of macadamia nuts generously filled. So 3 days after our Crystal Jade purchase, we got another box with the macadamia nuts. Now can you imagine how many of the festive confection are there for a family of 1 aunty who can’t take too much (indigestion), 1 young man who doesn’t really have a sweet tooth & his wife who loves what she bought but beyond her ability to finish all by herself? Then more came in (from SIL) last Sun. Oh gosh.. can’t believe I’m making a mooncake talk here... Must be OVERwhelmed by the cakes!

Enjoyed the night breeze downstairs with a cuppa & u-noe-wat

Something about the Household

So my bro & family have opted out. Inevitably felt disappointed when I received the sms from my sisinlaw.

Then just after my driving lesson, my brother called. There he was rattling on... whatever that could come outta his mouth but not into my brain. I put him on speaker & even hubby had no idea at all what he’s talking about! Was quite funny as we looked at each other with much bemusement while trying very hard to comprehend him. But what we got was more ???. For a moment I thought he’s drunk but he said a “NO” soberly & that he just finished work. He then blurted out that he missed daddy a lot & cried. Was quite shocked to see this side of him. Told him I miss daddy very dearly too. And the more I miss him, the more I’ll spend time with mum as daddy’s most worried about mum & now this the only thing I can do for him. Not that I’ll spend lesser time with her if daddy didn’t say it because it’s our responsibility to take care of her. However bro had his own explanation which I don’t agree at all. After we hung up, the perplexed me was still trying to digest what my big brother had said & the purpose of his call. I really don’t get him….

Perhaps he’s to really understand (& not only lip service) that things are not as smooth-sailing as everyone thinks. Hubby & I experience our fair share of frustrations & inconvenience with mum staying with us too. One of the problems used to be ownership of space. And many times it's hubby who had to breathe the words "keep your cool huh baobei" into my ears. But we’re appreciating her presence more & more & we know she’s also trying very hard to adapt as now the status is reversed (she’s so used to be a homeowner & now hubby & I are the ones). Most importantly, I’ve a very loving & understanding husband & that’s the key to staying together harmoniously.

Last week, hubby wanted a nice yet close to our place dinner on Fri. So few days before he already made reservation @ Buckaroo for an alfresco dîner & a couple of beer. BUT we didn’t get to dine in there eventually & I felt sad to disappoint hubby. 1st, the highly polluted air... it's very bad that evening. If we were to choose indoor, we’d prefer to go somewhere else. 2nd, it’s the actual day of mid-autumn fest. In the past years, we didn’t have any reunion dinner on actual day since every1 has their own family. But mum had daddy then.

Perhaps I was really thinking too much… perhaps mum was cool about it (in having dinner alone like any of the usual weekdays)… perhaps it should be other siblings’ turn this time, why it’s always us? But am so glad that hubby’s always there to encourage & enlighten me. We’ve come up with our own motto: we should always be at peace with ourselves 44 as long as we do our best, it’s not up to us to expect or demand the others to do likewise. I’ve come to terms with it which saves me lotsa trouble in getting frustrated & upset when they don’t see eye to eye with hubby & me. In conclusion, a harmonious family is what we ultimately hope for.

And yes, back to last Fri’s dinner… finally we decided to have mum with us & ended up @ Sembawang Shopping Centre’s Sakae Sushi. Intended to have the popular Thai food on level 4 (I think it’s 4, or 5?) but the Q was way too long! Nevertheless, God blessed us with a pleasant Jap dinner that’s filled with jokes + small chats.

I’m truly blessed & I'm thankful. To find some1 who’s 100% devoted to me & dotes on me like a princess is not easy…. What’s more, even treats my parent like his own. Have no idea what I’ve done to deserve him.

Culture shock?

Yesterday boss was saying the Korean rep would be going to the Port for training next Feb. Somehow I sense that he might want to pull me into the picture too. But I DON'T WANT TO GOOOOOOO! (1) Highly possible that the dates will clash with our CNY trip (2) It's usually a very tiring trip -> continuous sessions of training, meetings & discussions. Like the previous time, every single lunch & dinner was planned in the itinerary too & this went on for the whole week. I hate it! No time for a breather at all... there’s only enough time for us to rush back to the hotel for a shower & even for that it's considered a luxury that we didn't get to enjoy every evening. They might think it’s the result of excellent organisation & we'd to be well taken care of. But I yearned for a lil bit of time by ourselves.. to walk around, to have a relaxing dinner without having to entertain. Especially their dinners are known to be lengthy.. & unlike most of the Singaporeans who are flexible with our eating time – when we’re hungry we eat or when we’ve something on later we’ll eat earlier, they’re fixed with their dinner time. No matter wat, no earlier than 8pm. And the home dinners are the most impressive... could stretch to as early as midnight. First, they’ll start with a few aperitifs & some bites over small chats, after an hour or so proceed on to the dining table & the host would normally do the 1st round of serving. Subsequently the plates (of food) would be slowly passed from 1 pax to another... seems like they’re never in a rush. After the appetizers & main courses, they’d go for a round of cheese. Then dessert time. Then 3 hours later, at last we get to hear “coffee? tea? Anyone?”.

Back then, the 3 of us (1 from Shanghai, 1 from Japan & self) were not used to this part of the culture at all & were grumbling to 1 another. We nearly dozed off during some of work sessions, think those were too boring to keep us awake.. hehe...

So, I DON'T WANT TO GOOOOOO !!!

Yesterday

Just had a short casual chat with a French guest of boss who's based in Seoul. He said yesterday was a public holiday in Korea, so will tomorrow & Fri be. Wow... 3 P.H. in a week! That'd be very very nice if we get to enjoy the same in Singapore. Hmm... But not too bad for the coming PHs... though 1 day'll be wasted as it falls on Sat (yes WE'RE NOT COMPENSATED if PH falls on a Sat) & closely followed by another 1 on Tue. Then long weekend for Christmas. Especially good during the New Year holiday that coincides with Hari Raya... A 4-day long weekend! The same long weekend during CNY. C'est très très bon! We're gonna benefit for our Melbourne trip & we may extend to 8 days... meaning we'll just need to take 3 days leave.

Yesterday took time off for the medical review @ TTSH (for my migraine). I'd actually decided to forego the appointment as been feeling well with my head except during those few days of flu. But my neck's giving me problems recently & I suspect it triggers other discomfort I've been feeling as well, so still went ahead to see the doc, just to clear my worries. Behaved like a problem patient prepped with many questions... also asked him about the "imbalance of inner ear circular canals" or the "inner ear vestibular system" that's been nagging me as I've been having occasional mild dizzy spells. Seemed like I'm ok to him, much to my relief. He must be thinking what a paranoid & problematic patient he has!

Too late to go back to office after the appointment so I went to a salon in Toa Payoh for hair treatment. This salon was aired on tv few weeks ago so wanted to try them out. Not long after, hubby joined me & he'd a hair cut. The service's good... very attentive & customer-oriented & didn't try to hard-sell their products. We may or may not go back... for hubby's haircut & hair treatment for me as it shouldn't go too wrong. I'll still stick to Justina for all my chemical treatments & haircut.

Then we'd a quick dinner before proceeding on to make the Samsung X820 mine! Hee....
Were deciding among a few... 2 of the 3 in the ultra edition (the other 1 was D900 slider) & E900 touch-button (like LG's Chocolate). Eventually decided not to spend too much, so the ultra slim X820!

Hubby should be getting his very soon too. Think he's too used to having the same phone as me. Hehe.

Great 1

Just found this pic in my hp by accident.

Was (poorly) taken a few fridays back (think a month ago?) @ MG's when hubby dearest treated me to a bot of wine. Came with a complimentary cheese fondue... tasted great & in excellent presentation too.

Enjoyed a good 2 laid-back hours with hubby in their couch.

A big thumbs-up for the complimentariness! Don't know whether they still have it now.

Exactly 1 month......

........ to our 1st Wedding Anniversary!

Have tentatively planned for a 3-day celebration... yepyep!! On the actual day... hope to have 1 day off work to enjoy ourselves. Then in the evening will go for a 9-course dinner . Extravagant? Not @ all...... just that we'll be celebrating our anniv together with hubby's cousin's Big Day. Such a coincidence right! The cousin's mum, who's hubby's eldest aunt (FIL's eldest sis) warmly invited (reads: wanted/insisted) us to the wedding dinner.

The moment I heard about it, I was boiling inside... we're so looking forward to our 1st anniversary & now gotta be shared with so many others. Why of all the 365 days that cousin has to choose exactly the same day as ours!? Hubby said we could by all means go ahead with our own plans & nobody could demand us to do anything that's against our will. I know he just wants me to be happy but neither do I want him to become a sandwich - my parents in-law will be disappointed if we're not gonna show up & secondly, this aunt has been very good to us. So I forced myself to be rational... the cousin wouldn't have remembered it's our wedding date... just like, will we remember our cousins' wedding dates? Also, it'll only affect us once throughout our many many more anniversaries to come as we're not gonna celebrate our annivs together. So for the 1st year we'll just take it as a special way of celebrating lor. Anyway we still have day 2 & 3 which we're originally planned. Once I've managed to straighten out my thoughts, I feel real ok. Hee..

OK day 2 which's a Sat, we're gonna check in to Ritz Carlton for a night's stay in the Premier Suite & out on day 3. Yeah.

Happened to read the following on wedding anniversaries:

1st - First - Paper
2nd - Second - Cotton
3rd - Third - Leather
4th - Fourth - Fruit/Flowers
5th - Fifth - Wood
6th - Sixth - Candy/Iron
7th - Seventh - Wool/Copper
8th - Eighth - Bronze/Pottery
9th - Ninth - Pottery/Willow
10th - Tenth - Tin/Aluminium
11th - Eleventh - Steel
12th - Twelfth - Silk/Linen
13th - Thirteenth - Lace
14th - Fourteenth - Ivory
15th - Fifteenth - Crystal
20th - Twentieth - China
25th - Twenty-Fifth - Silver
30th - Thirtieth - Pearl
35th - Thirty-Fifth - Coral
40th - Fortieth - Ruby
45th - Forty-Fifth - Sapphire
50th - Fiftieth - Gold

Looking good

Had every1 back today & in fact they just left, like half an hr ago! Not what me & hubby would expect as usually prefer to end a Sun night early or the next day will def be a true blue Mon. But this evening's a lil different. Firstly, they're back real late.. about 7pm.. not long after the both of us woke up from a sweet afternoon nap. Meant to be a simple mooncake festival kinda get-together.. like what we've every single year. Last year daddy's still around & it's at RG's roof garden. Was great. Tonite's a very simplified 1.. wanna make sure we still have this tradition as a family.. daddy'd be very glad, if only he knows...........

The chat over mooncakes & tea escalated to an exciting discussion when we started to talk about the intention of going to Melbourne with mum. Before that sis & family already decided to join us, yippee! Didn't really expect any positive response from SIL but to our pleasant surprise she's all for it. The only 'black sheep' was my brother whom we'd tried our best to coax & also pressurize him into the idea. So enthusiastically sharing with one another the jokes & fun stuff during our past holidays... for a moment our place's like a market!

Now all seem excited to go but it mainly depends on the costs & flight availability. Let's pray that we can get to have the 1st family trip together. But no matter what, Vince & I will still go with mum.
