IT'S A F&E DAY :)

The rest went on a day trip to Shenzhen so we're on our own again. While Con had to settle some work at the HK office, the 3 of us did some banking errands before we had lunch at a 茶餐厅 in TST.

We went back to TST and shopped around the area for a while before returning to our hotel since the dinner venue was just opposite to where we stayed.

A cool rooftop terrace bar to visit.
And for those who want to have dinner first, you can dine at the popular Chinese restaurant, Nanhai No.1, before moving out to the outdoor balcony for some wine.

Family Trip to HK - Day 1

A family trip to HK during this March school holiday (half a year overdue post!).

Début pic with my DSLM! :D

The guys in the family

Checked in @ Madera!

Upon arrival at HKIA, we're split into 2 groups as some preferred to go on a budget for accommodation while the priorities for the 4 of us were comfort & cleanliness.

At the hotel lobby
Gallery in the hotel - Jordan in the 60s

Late lunch - 车仔面shop @ Sham Shui Po

Sham Shui Po - walked around after late lunch

Dinner @ HotPot Super! Supermart-style Taiwanese steamboat in Mongkok.. HK$100 for 2 hours.
I've been thinking of it since our last visit :P

A very generous spread for steamboat buffet.

Free flow beer @ ONLY HK$6
18 types of soup base ranging from HK$12 to HK$20

The meat was pretty good

On an average, we paid HK$126 per person for the steamboat dinner and left contentedly :)

Hot Pot Super 百银一锅 @ 2/F, Dundas Square, 43H Dundas Street, Mong Kok

Had a walk along Sai Yeung Choi Street South after dinner

We ended the night early, at about 9pm, as the folks were tired since all of us woke up as early as 3am that morning.

But the 4 of us (who stayed in the same hotel) went on to have a short drink at the hotel's rooftop bar

Enjoyed the cold wind ...

... & red wine

Nice way to end the first night ;)
