Holiday plan

Mum has indicated that she doesn't wanna stay in Singapore during the coming CNY. She asked hubby & I to accompany her & we've agreed. She even volunteers to pay for our expenses but I don't feel good letting her pay. Come to think of it she's quite pitiful... she's been wanting to go for a holiday but can't find a suitable companion. She's even actively participating in those outings organised by the committee of where we're staying now (eg. visits to factories, farm, etc) which she'd not have much interest in such excursions in the past. We ever suggested bringing her to HK over the weekend or perhaps just extend for another day so we only need to take leave for 1 day but she thought it's too short. So CNY period will be the best time to getaway. Need to plan properly though so that we can still attend the reunion dinner with my inlaws'.

She hopes to go to Australia because she can't take cold weather... & since she'd already been to Sydney & Perth before, she's now looking @ Melbourne. She can also visit her god-daughter who's moved there with her family. Personally prefer Korea or Japan but I know what'll our mission be, so... she calls the shots.

Have just booked our flight yesterday & decided to extend another day... That'll make it a total of 5 days.

Tee craze

Did I tell you about my recent madness over tees? Guys' singlets, kids' tees & of course ladies' too. Bought so many of late that I've lost count.

In particular this shop @ Far East Plaza where we ever bought a pair of 'couples' tees in pink - hubby's a polo-tee & me a racer-back with exactly the same print. 2 weeks ago back to the shop to check out any new arrivals & we're there just at the right time as they’re having a Removal Sale! More than 50% discount on all items. Got another 2 similar sets of tees for ourselves, in green & purple. Mine were going for $5/pc when we paid like $16 in the past & hubby’s were $8/pc (originally $20). Since it’s so cheap, I bought another piece in diff color. And the sales assistant managed to get the plain racer-backs @ $3/pc (orig discounted price $5) for me. So I waited no more & grabbed 3 pieces - in black, white & khaki… afterall the 3 pieces only cost less than $10! Great deal!
Heard the shop’s shifting to Bugis… yeah! Will be more convenient for me in the future!

Very tempted to get 2 more @ Ngee Ann City last week but had to stop myself. Better go slow huh.

Ill

My nose is completely congested!! Instead of feeling better today, it seems to be getting worse. Started with a lil runny nose last Fri + migraine... popped 2 panadol flu pills in the office & felt very drowsy thereafter. Didn't know panadol would have such effect? Then was so sleepy around 5pm+ that I literally dozed off in the office! Usually around this time of the week I'd be in the best of moods & look forward to a nice Fri chill-out with hubby & another great weekend.

Nevertheless, managed to stay as awake as possible when it's time to call it a day @work. Hubby already waiting for me downstairs & that night's program was to go back to AMK for dinner (instead of Wed) because my newly enlisted BIL was coming home after 2 weeks in Tekong. My MIL missed him much & we're all eager to see his new look, hehe... Actually we're also concerned about how he's coping so far. Before that, went to Serene Centre to get some homemade ice-cream for every1 which's recommended by my sis. Tried their Brandied Cherries before & it's good! Not very sweet & love the milk taste. Based on hubby's understanding of his family's preference, we got a pint of Chendol & Burnt Caramel each. And it's not ex at all... a pint for $8 & my sis (who enjoys neighbour's discount) got them for us, we even got $1 off per pint, hee! Chendol's quite alright but hubby & I don't fancy the Burnt Caramel... June liked it though. Still prefer Brandied Cherry... wanted to try the popular Bubur Itam (icecream) but too bad out of stock.

Was feeling a tad better during the night & slept considerably early @11pm on a Fri night.

Didn't do much over the weekend... the usual stuff & rested more @home.

Did make some important decisions which brought the both of us closer to God.

My Class3 Course

Am currently having 3 times/week (2 on weekday nights & 1 on Sat morning). A lil tiring after those on weekdays as I take the last time slot which ends @ 1030pm.

It's no better for my poor hubby... he sends me there for every lesson, waits for me during that 100mins & makes sure that I see him as soon as I get off the vehicle. He said since he's the 1 who encourages me to learn driving, he's to give full support... & days before my 1st lesson started, he's even more excited than me & looking forward to it, ha! Whereas, I was more nervous & scared than anything hehe. He's always eager to find out what I've done after each lesson.

Good that it's not a long term kinda commitment. But I'm afraid I'll take longer than others to 'graduate' leh...

About the learning experience... already had a few boo-boos so far:
- Was as usual waiting for the instructor in the car & when he finally came, realised that I wasn't the trainee assigned to him so he ran to the staff i/c to enquire for me. By then all the cars started to move & he soon found out that I should go to veh.no. 62 instead of 63! Had to rush to the car as it's moving off already. My instructor was laughing & shaking his head
Bag Head
- Was searching high & low for the veh & every1 would be moving off soon. The panicky me caught hold of 1 instructor for rescue. He helped me to look for the car while getting a few of his kakis to join in the search too. After a while of commotion, came another instructor saying that he's looking for his veh & realised that it's also the 1 I was trying to find. Just then the car appeared... don't know who'd brought it to top up petrol... so it wasn't my fault for this incident.
- Last sat morning I was very late & all the cars already started moving before I found mine. So I could only half-ran half-walked along the roadside & squeezed my way through behind the instructors who're leading the warming up session for all motorcyclists & then the staff gotta stop the ongoing cars to let me cross the road to my veh. Boy it's quite embarrassing!

And also my co-ordination problem, forgetfulness, carelessness... Every1 tells me it's like this initially & I'll get better with more practice. Well I really hope so.

LETHARGY

Been feeling real sleepy for the past week. So much so that pretty often, while facing the pc screen, my eyelids'll involuntarily drop without me knowing...!

Almost every weekday night's occupied. Since 3 weeks ago, the weekly routine usually goes like tis 4 Mon - SSDC, Tue - fetching mum after her cell group gathering, Wed - dinner @ AMK, Thur - SSDC, Fri - some happy W.E. hours (yeah!).

But the real reason is actually lack of excercise! So I know it... but we're just too lack of discipline. Hai......

any idea?

Last Fri evening we supposed to have our own program - hubby with his colleagues & me with Eric. Some last minute changes & we ended up enjoying our Fri night together.

Shopped for a comp table. Travelled all the way to Jurong.. called Yung Ho Rd or something. Visited Vhive's 3 or 4-level megastore but left the place with big disappointment. Only the 1st floor is in use. Did have some nice & simple foodcourt dinner nearby though. Then to IMM & nothing interesting too. Still had time to visit Courts TPY but again a fruitless trip. And guess where's our last stop of the nite? A pushcart that sells fancy watches @ TPY bus interchange. After about half an hour, we happily left with 5 watches (Vince: 1, me: 4) & about $80 lesser in our account. Are we shopping freaks.

Oh yes... about the computer desk. We just ordered our own pc... Been using our company laptops all this while. The items will arrive today but the table is still no where to be seen. Fussy me... hmm! Anywayz we gotta clear the room 1st (formerly daddy's) so we can convert it into a study. Bro & sis will be here on Sunday to do it together. And it's the 1 step I have to take...

So for now, they'll have to sit on our miserable coffee table in our bedroom & printer on the floor.
Any idea where to get nice glass computer table?

Something like this? 4444444

New items

Did a lil online shopping for our home sweet home last week. Been eyeing on this table-fountain for a few weeks but was out of stock. Finally got to order it last thurs. Also saw a nice centre-piece for our dining table & added on to the order.

Then suddenly, was up for some mischief again
44 put the recipient as my hubby dearest with the message - I Love You Honey! Scheduled to be delivered on Sat evening, 7-10pm. Tried so hard to keep it from him.. hehe.

Was out almost the whole of Sat. But told him that we needed to be back @ home in the evening to do some housework so we could have more time to watch our newly bought vcds thereafter. He wasn't suspicious at all because all the reasons given were genuine ones... me just took advantage of the situation. Ha!

Returned home past 6pm. Ordered Oishi Jap Pizza (& was told it'd take 1 hour, ie. to deliver @ 8pm) before getting started with the chores. When we received a call from the guardhouse @ 7.30pm, I was smiling to myself... wow they're punctual & he must be thinking it's the pizza delivery! Hubby went to answer the door while I carried on with the toilet cleaning, anticipating his reaction upon returning. He came back shortly & commented that "they're quite big!" but I couldn't sense his amazement. Asked him what're big & he replied "the pizzas lor". Oh! So it's really the pizzas! A false alarm! Then I thought.. Oh no... if it's not the 'gifts', meaning they'd arrive later & hubby would be taking a shower soon. So I urged him to take a real quick shower, saying that the pizzas were turning cold. My dear hubby really took an express shower, haha. Then enjoyed our dinner & the show. My honey did not notice that I kept stealing glances at the clock. Past 9pm & our items were not delivered yet. Just when I was getting a lil restless & disappointed about the possible no-show, the guard called up. After hanging up hubby told me the guard said there's a gift. He looked a lil excited yet very puzzled & thought the guard must have called the wrong unit... & he's mumbling to himself.

The deliveryman came soon after & hubby took quite a while to really figure out who's his admirer who sent him the gifts. Think he's just too excited to figure out! Hee.... Most of the credit should go to my acting skills leh.

Nothing better to do right... to have made a prank on my honey. Anyway we both have liked the fountain, just that he didn't know I've already gone ahead to order it. We're happy with the delivered items & for the rest of the night, were busy rearranging some decor to suit the pretty fountain that's with my fav blue colored sand, real plants & a tea-light on some very fine beach sand & pebbles. Have also asked to change the container to white instead of black. Love it!

These the 'gifts' my honey received last Sat night.

What I Did Last Sunday

No doubt my original intention was to have a change... shortening it to shoulder-length was the most I would compromise I thought. However eventually gave in to the very persistant Justina. My long hair which I've kept for almost 10 years (of course with lotsa trimming & minor changes along the way)... gone with Justina's less-than-a-minute snipping & yet she's so excited about it ~sobz~ We then realised that she wasn't given a chance at all to cut my hair to this extent for the past 9 years. No wonder she got so high lah.

Hubby loves the new look; me... still adjusting to the bob. Imagine... been having long hair for sooo many years...

Not the end

Thought would have a more relaxing time for the rest of this year..... counting down to our 1st anniversary celebration, then Christmas, New Year.... But nooooo. Gotta (to my most reluctance) make a trip to Jakarta some time in Oct since this month's a lil too rush, then Vietnam in Nov. Sheesh... Thought could go back to Bkk instead so can replenish my/friends'/cousin's stock.

Jakarta... wonder has it changed much since my 1st & last visit when I did ZERO shopping. Was sick & also not safe at all to walk around then.... there're demonstrations everywhere... so it's strictly hotel-exhibition hall-hotel throughout the stay. Only a week after I returned, the biggest riot broke out. Scary huh? As for Vietnam, I'd buy embroidered stuff whenever I went there... yep only that but lots as they're just soo cheap4 tissue case, table cloth, small & big sachets, napkins, etc..... been a few years since I last went there. Hope they've more things & places to shop now. Still prefer KL or Bkk though.

Sian... gonna be lotsa work again very soon. Awwwww...!

Waz new?

Another few weeks of stressful WORK since last month, yes yet again. Half a day more... or worse, another half day (tomorrow) & I can have a week's break from my dear boss. He's flying off this sun & back 1 week later. Only 5 (working) days to be exact... hmmm... better than none!

Honestly after my last ordeal.. this 1 is nothing. At least it's more manageable & kinda within my control.

And the short convo with cousin SM just now reminded me that I've not been in here for some.. 2 weeks??

Be back soon. Right now, my R-E-P-O-R-T-SSSSSSSS again.
