Well for last wed's wedding dinner of LL & Mandy, we arrived early at 7.40pm. That's the earliest in my record, hee. We went straight after work, that was why. And our table was still empty... been wondering with whom we would share the table as apparently, all other classmates we mutually know weren't in the list. Made a boo boo the day before by asking an ex-classmate, Chris, whether he'd be attending the dinner. He said he wasn't invited. Oopz... had to end this awkward sms exchange by saying "let's organise a gathering some time soon ya?". Hope LL won't kill me for that. If Chris not informed, needless to talk about my other classmates.
Thought I could at least see his former buddies - mickey mouse & ninja turtle.. but no sight of them. Maybe the turtle had mutated till beyond recognition? (duh~) The table was slowly filled up but none of them I knew. Perhaps except one, the Malay guy, who I found a lil bit familiar & thought we're from the same school but I wasn't sure at all. We tried very hard to figure out who our table was made up of - besides us, 4 of the other guests knew each other, another couple was all by themselves, a relative dropout from the next table (hubby's so amused by my description), then there's this poor dude who's there all by himself. Finally during the 2nd or 3rd course, I broke the ice & spoke to the girl next to me. We got to know that 2 other guys (including the only Malay guy... so I was right to have recognised him!) & I were from the same college.. they from science (same as LL) & me from commerce. The girl was one of the guys' wife & the other chap was the Malay's ex-colleague & LL's IRC friends (complicated!). The 6 of us ended up chatting happily & cracking jokes. The remaining four were very quiet throughout the dinner. So it turned out to be quite fun.
We felt really happy for LL. After all that he'd been through, he deserves an angel like Mandy. We believe he's so looking forward to this day, to celebrate their love & to share his life with someone he loves who also loves him for who he is.
I thought we could take a pic together with the bride & groom. It's a pity we didn't manage to.

thanks for comin. just back from honeymoon on wed. exhaustion and that cup of martell finally downed me. sore throat and cough thruout the trip. still not recovered yet.
anyway, checked against the records.. your table was seated by my pri sch classmate (june lai) and her husband (sam). meng jye was my jc classmate and wife sok ling. then there's johan (my stay back kaki) without his wife. and tim meng (aka cappella) without his wife. i know capp thru irc, and they know each other thru work.
and so the noise'd come from capp and joe, plus a lil from fern (meng jye). june herself is v talkative (which is how we're still in contact now).
the odd relative is the youngest son of my appointed 'matchmaker' an aunty who saw me grew up since pri 3. neighbourhood family fren from amk. the last chap in glasses is lih pin, whom i knew thru my ex, and was my financial saviour in settlin my lawyer bills. i'm indebted to him. he's workin in uob credit card dept, which made settlin my banquet bill a breeze.
abt chris, vincent (mickey), sinclair (turtle)... i lost touch with last 2. i didn't get chris and eric tan along, cos i wanted to keep to 30 tables max. and eric didn't get to turn up at chris's housewarming. and chris didn't get me for his wedding, plus his impendin kid etc. so i left them out. that night it was 28.5 tables. some like my nus ex, cldn't make it at last minute due to overseas trips.
i hope you enjoyed the dinner. i had a tough run-up, but ended the nite well. sorry i had no time to stop over your table. everythin was a rush. and dinner started late. so many montages to show.
site's down btw, as my bill didn't come before i was on honeymoon. no pre-alert = no payment = no site. at least until i get them to wire me the bill again.

Welcome back! Glad that you guys enjoyed Greece. It's beautiful.. but I heard the people there generally are rude to Asians? Did you go Santorini? The all blue & white must be extremely captivating, especially I love aqua blue.. hee.

Yes we enjoyed the dinner esp the fish maw. And pls lah.. don't need to feel sorry.. we know how it's like.

er, not fish maw. m in the end bend under pressure from majority to retain the shark's fin. instead of changin it to maw or somethin.
went santorini, mykonos, patmos, heraklion and kusadasi (in turkey). via cruise. but didn't bring my digicam charger cable. so grabbed an instant camera and snapped away instead, in santorini (last stop).
AD pics still not ready yet. waitin to meet up with photographer and videographer to pick up stuff.
honeymoon pics ready. but gonna update blog's software first, before loadin the pics in. tech support requested it when they placed my stuff back online. so it'd take another wk or 2.
Haha! Vince & I did feel that we'd eaten some sharksfin but then we remembered you guys said fish maw was chosen instead, that's why we're very impressed that they could actually do it so close to sharksfin.
Huh.. you mean you brought the charger but not the cable? Okok.. not gonna rub it in. Lucky you're smart enough to get an instant one.. :P
