Dear Friend

Last morning, received an email from a long lost friend - J.B. .... & it's a real pleasant surprise!

Got to know him during 1 of my work trips to KL say............... 6 yrs ago?! (Wow! I don't even realise knowing him for so many years!). He's a maritime journalist with 1 of the national papers & had helped me out a lot. We'd meet up whenever I was in KL. He's the 1 who saw me in my worst form... when I got sooo drunk for the 1st & the last time & it's in KL. What I can remember was... only a few steps out of Beach Club, I couldn't take it anymore & had to sit on a curb. Almost immediately I threw up & it's a lotttttt! Really embarrassing but lucky I was in KL, hee! He helped me back to the hotel & only after making sure I was nicely tucked in that he left. Early morning when I woke up, I saw some post-its on the bathroom mirror... he left me a message asking me to take good care of myself etc... Sounds so drama right? Haha!

How fortunate I was.... to meet all the good male friends who stay by my side... whom I can pour my sorrows to. At that time JB had another job... he managed a pub in Bangsar at night. And I hanged out a lil there. I'm really grateful to him for trying his best to keep me company. He never failed to reassure me of his support... he told me that if it's getting too tough for me to stay in Spore, I could always go there & he'd take care of everything. Soon after he's transferred to be a business writer. But we still tried to meet whenever I was up.

Well, like said in our mails... though we haven't been in touch for the longest time, we know our friendship flows on... long & steady.

Jose, if you see this... just wanna thank you for being such a wonderful friend... also many thanks for your well-wishes to Vince & me. I really hope you'll be happy too. Cheers!!
