A better W.E.

FRI NITE

Hubby had to attend his company gathering (dinner + ktv). Hey hey! he won the best dress for the night with the shirt we bought last Sun!! Yeah! Told ya it's a very nice shirt right?? Hee..

As for me... I attended MG's pub opening. It's so near my office, just approx 5 mins walk! Reached there slightly before 7pm. The place looks great but obviously very different from where he previously worked. Quite a good & mature crowd. MG'd kept a seat for me at the bar as he'd be there most of the time & was nice enough to not-desert me. Felt kinda awkward initially... it's my 1st time going to a pub all by myself! MG tried his best to spend time with me but he's also busy manning the operation & takings for the time being. Had some champagne (red/white wine & champagne on the house) before I ordered a bottle of Shiraz rose wine to support. Shared the bottle with MG... definitely couldn't finish the whole bottle by myself. Also talked to 1 of the patrons, an Australian banker based here, who's there with 3 of his friends. We'd quite a philosophical conversation & he said he's impressed that some1 my age could have such deep thoughts! Hmmm... perhaps it's due to the alcoholic power? Ha! But that's before the 'mystery' revealed 44 at 1st he didn't know he's a lil younger than me. Then he couldn't believe & when he's finally convinced, he shook my hand & said "Good for you!" Huh? good that I'm older?! Nah... I knew what he meant...

In the midst MG tried getting outta bar to keep me company when he saw I was being approached. Hubby also wanted to rush down to fetch me when he knew I was talking to someone else. Actually no need to be alarmed as it's a very harmless chat, nothing romantic. Reassured my hubby that I could do much better than this (as in protecting myself). Nevertheless, gotta thank MG for the kind look-out. He's nice enough to also offer exclusive 'deposit service' for my handbag so I need not worry about my belongings especially when I was off to the ladies.

Had stayed there for more than 5 hrs when hubby came to pick me @ 12am+. MG still hoped I could stay till closing. Well I couldn't... was tired & didn't wanna upset my honey too who's already being very understanding towards the last time MG held me up to 5am.

Will definitely be returning with hubby & perhaps with my SILs... It's officially open today to the public. The Sun when we went to June's place, we happened to know she likes the same kinda music that's being played @ the pub. It's really a coincidence as, so far, not every1 appreciate this type of music. June also said she tried playing to 1 of her friends but she couldn't accept it.

SAT

Woke up @ 11am & went for a short swim. Gosh.... couldn't even complete 5 laps! The doc said gotta swim about 8 - 10 laps then considered exercise. Wow still very far from it man! There's this young gal (maybe she's a swimmer in school) already swimming when we arrived & by the time we got out, she's still carrying on non-stop!

Had lunch @ home... mum cooked. Then hubby's church friend, James, came to our place & left only at 5pm+. We went out almost immediately after, to Orchard. Returned home around 10pm.

SUN

The usual stuff in the morning. Had lunch with mum & sis+family. There's this nice chicken rice @ Seah Street. Then adjourned to Tg Pagar for some yummy peanut ice-kacang. Poor hubby had to join the long queue to get for all of us.

Then back home to relax & play with our Tubby-boy. He's quite fat now & very adorable.

Did house chores after dinner at home. Supposed to catch our fav Korean serial @ 10.30pm on scv but too sleepy to endure as it'd only finish near 1am.
